Chef Leah accepts 30-day Challenge

Local Temecula, CA chef, Leah Delyte Di Bernardo owner ofE.A.T. Marketplace has accepted a 30 -day wellness challenge from the soon-to open (March 16, 2013) Temecula Wellness Center.

The challenge consists of a juice fast that beganGreen Juice on February 4, 2013 and ends on the Grand Opening of the Wellness center on March 16. The recipe and wellness coaching are being provided by the owner of Temecula Wellness Center, Dr. Terry Rondberg and his wellness center director, Ruth Kincaid. Chef Leah makes the drink in her home and restaurant kitchen.

Green Juice Ingredients  Chef Leah made the commitment after consulting with her own physician.  Once given the green light, she has been drinking five, freshly made 16 ounce glasses  of “Green Juice” each day along with 120 ounces of water every day.  The “Green Juice” is a recipe developed by Dr. Rondberg to provide maximum nutrition and energy.  It is made up of a mixture of local, fresh ingredients such as celery, cucumber, parsley, ginger, spinach, lemon and kale. A salad can also be added in to the diet if the participant requests it.

When Leah was asked wWellness Challenge Conferencehy she is participating in the challenge she said, “I actually went to Dr. Rondberg to ask his advice on how to feel better and drop a few pounds.  I am around food so much it’s hard to be my healthiest self. ” She further explained, “When your hands are covered in gorgeous gooey chocolate –  being good is a challenge. But, I know what goes in my mouth may find itself in all the wrong places on my body.” Dr. Rondberg calls this type of wellness challenge a “reboot.”  He shares, “Your body ‘s thing is health. Listen to it, it will tell you when a change is necessary. When it is, my director Ruth and I are here to help.”

As a reward for finishing the program, Chef Leah will be the first person to try out the Temecula Wellness Center’s unique four-station wellness circuit featuring the unique Bioenergy Technique. Benefits of the circuit include increased balance & flexibility, reduced stress, improved bone density and reduction in the appearance of cellulite.

When asked what side effects a participant might incur during the fasting and circuit training, Dr. Rondberg smiled and said, “The only side effect is good health.” When Chef Leah was asked what part she was most looking forward to she said, “Stress reduction in particular would be wonderful.”

Interested parties can follow Leah or cheer her on her Facebook page, stop in to say hi at E.A.T. Marketplace in Temecula or come out to the Grand Opening of the Temecula Wellness Center on March 16, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Week long passes, along with free food, beverages, tours and prizes will all be part of the March 16 Grand Opening.
