Meet the polo players and ponies
|
|
Hi Maralyn,
I’d like to remind you about the press and photo call for Veuve Clicquot Polo on the Beach at Watergate Bay on Friday 17th May 2013.
This is a great opportunity for photographers and TV crews to get close-up shots of the polo players and ponies in action and talk to the players before the event.
On the beach will be Andrew Burgess, founder of South West Polo and two other players and ponies. They will also be joined by Dreya Bennett – champion Gladiator and world record breaking kitesurfer – who will be preparing for Saturday’s kite vs horse challenge with her Veuve Clicquot board and kite.
The players and ponies will be in full match uniform, and will be able to stage matchplay simulations and run directly at the cameras.
For the first time Veuve Clicquot Polo on the Beach will be held over a weekend on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th May 2013. It will be the first and highest handicapped beach polo event of the British season.

Facilities: Wifi and desk space will be available throughout the morning of the press call.
Prompt arrival is advised to ensure the welfare of the ponies as the time they are able to run on the beach is strictly limited to a maximum of one hour.
