Avocado-Based Spa Treatments Offered during Guacamania in September at Velas Resorts
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico (August 30, 2018) — Guests looking for more avocado can visit the spa at the Velas Resorts in Mexico this September for Guacamania. The month-long fest capitalizes on more than just the flavor and nutritional value of this famed fruit with spa treatments that employ its topical benefits. At the AAA Five Diamond Grand Velas Los Cabos, guests can experience an Avocado Scrub (80 min/ $236) and a welcome shot of ginger and avocado is served on arrival. At Grand Velas Riviera Maya, guests can partake in a body exfoliation and wrap with avocado and honey (80 min/ $236). A 60-minute Avocado Treatment ($198) at Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit features a mixture of avocado, yogurt, olive oil and coconut applied to the body before being wrapped in banana leaves. Following the skin softening treatment, guests receive sweet avocado ice cream. Other amenities at the spa in Nayarit include an avocado smoothie shot and chocolate spheres filled with avocado ganache. At the adults-only Casa Velas spa in Puerto Vallarta, different treatments range from an exfoliation with avocado skin (50 min/ $135) and avocado body wrap with natural yogurt (80 min/ $165) to an avocado moisturizing hair treatment ($45).
