Fall 2014

Dear Travel Professional,

The golden fall season presents Baden-Baden with the last rays of sunshine and the spectacle of the fall foliage in our parks and gardens of Lichtentaler Allee.

Our social and cultural calendar is full of exciting activities such as the final International Galopp Race of the season, and the 10-year anniversary of the Museum Frieder Burda and its special exhibit of works, from Karin Kneffel to Picasso. The Festspielhaus (Europe’s second largest concert hall) offers a full program, from the French pianist Hélène Grimaud to the London Philharmonic Orchestra with works by Brahms, Schubert and Strauss among many other performances.

A glance at the calendar will tell us that a few weeks later the first snowflakes may fall across Baden-Baden. It’s an ideal time for extended walks through our parks and gardens to enjoy the crisp and crystal clear Black Forest air.

On Monday, November 24 the traditional Baden-Baden Christmas Market will be opened by a festive act accompanied by a children’s choir, the sounds of trumpets and much more. The Christmas Market will take place in front of the illuminated Kurhaus and will stay open until December 30. Here, young and old will be able to listen to daily live performances from the open-air stage. Over 100 festively decorated stalls will welcome guests from around the world with their creative artwork and local culinary specialties.

Please join our national and international guests during this pre-holiday time with so many special activities, and get inspired by our exclusive stores and boutiques in our elegant Old Town, offering that unique gift for your loved ones at home.

I would be honored and delighted to welcome you to cheerful, sparkling Baden-Baden and wish you a peaceful pre-holiday season.
