Four Seabourn Ship Spas Rated Among the Top Ten in Annual Poll

SEATTLE, February 11, 2014 – The luxurious Spa at Seabourn aboard the intimate, all-suite Seabourn Odyssey was rated as the Best Spa on a Cruise Ship by the readers of Condé Nast Traveler in the magazine’s annual poll of spa facilities worldwide. The results of the poll, which are published online, also placed the spa facilities on three other Seabourn vessels among the top ten cruise ship spas.

The Spa at Seabourn on Seabourn Odyssey is among the largest spas on any luxury cruise ship. The generous space allows the expert staff to offer the ship’s 450 guests multiple treatment rooms, a fully-equipped gym and a separate Motion Studio with Kinesis Wall stations and space for various exercise classes. In addition, the facility offers personal fitness training and counseling. Saunas and steam rooms, including specialties such as salt steam inhalation and aromatherapy regimes are also available. The adjacent full-service salon offers grooming and wellness services for men and women, and features a dedicated nail-bar. The Spa at Seabourn is the only facility at sea with technicians certified to administer the scientifically proven Skinceuticals array of therapies for the skin.
Rounding out the beautifully decorated facility is a tranquil Serene Area with heated loungers, cocooning lounges and a delightful water feature. A fresh-air terrace exclusively for the use of spa patrons is located just aft of the Spa facility.
Responding to the popularity of its spas with cruising travelers, Seabourn has created a new category of luxury accommodations called Penthouse Spa Suites. These spacious suites are located on Deck 10 directly above the spa facility and are accessed exclusively from the spa lobby. They offer 516 or 538 square feet of indoor space, along with 172-square foot private verandas with sweeping views over the stern of the ship and the sea. Fares for these magnificent accommodations include unlimited access to the Serene Area of the spa and the services of a spa concierge throughout the voyage, as well as special spa amenities and features in the suite and its large marble bathroom. Penthouse Spa Suites have already been installed on Seabourn Quest, and will be added to Seabourn Odyssey in May 2014 and on Seabourn Sojourn in 2015.
