Il Cortile Debuts Fall Menu

New menu highlights seasonal ingredients; white truffles

 

 

November 19, 2013 (Paso Robles, CA) Il Cortile’s Chef Santos MacDonal highlights fall flavors with his new menu, guests are already raving about.

 

The new seasonal menu was expertly created with the freshest ingredients available from the surrounding local and regional landscapes providing a melody of exceptional homemade pastas, fresh seafood, top quality meats and antipasti, as well as a special mozzarella menu. Signature menu items include a vast selection of fresh pastas, gnocchi and risottos made from scratch daily such as Kabocha squash gnocchi (homemade kabocha squash gnocchi on a bead of parmesan fonduta with a brown butter sage sauce), Fettuccine di coniglio (fettuccine with slow roasted rabbit in a white wine herb sauce), Cervo e cotogna (pan-seared venison medallions with a red wine sauce and quince) and Vitello ai funghi porcini (veal chop with porcini mushroom sauce, finished with truffle oil).

 

Il Cortile also highlights truffle season with three delicious dishes. Their Carpaccio, made of thinly sliced sirloin is complemented with truffle cream sauce and shaved black or white truffles over the top; the homemade fettucinne dish is made with a parmesan fonduta, a drizzle of white truffle oil and white or black shaved truffles on top; the risotto also features a parmesan fonduta, a drizzle of white truffle oil and white or black shaved truffles over the top.

 

Il Cortile pairs its Italian cuisine with a vast wine list including selections from local wineries, highlighting the Central Coast along with Italian, Spanish and South American varietals. The restaurant also serves both domestic and Italian beers.

 

Il Cortile is located in downtown Paso Robles at 608 12th Street. The restaurant serves dinner seven days a week in its contemporary old world designeddining room as well as additional outdoor seating inside its lovely courtyard. Il Cortile offers off-site catering and hosts special events featuring local wineries, as well as participates in a number of local charities.
