Central Coast Oyster & Music Festival was a huge success last year with over 4000 shuckers and jivers in attendance. FOX News has selected Central Coast Oyster & Music Festival as #4 out of the top ten Oyster Festivals in the Nation and the largest Oyster Festival on the West Coast.
This year expected attendance will be well over 6000 and the team is ready to treat this large crowd to an experience they will never forget! Larger venue with outstanding design installations, more oyster vendors and ON SITE PARKING, this event will surpass all expectations for attendees. The Central Coast Oyster Festival will feature a range of amazing oyster preparations, the best wines, brews, exclusive cocktails, and a full lineup of knockout bands to play throughout the day under the most beautiful settings.
With a view of the Morro Bay Oyster Farm as well as the iconic Morro Rock, the Central Coast Oyster Festival will feature oysters from the Morro Bay Oyster Company, widely recognized as one of the greatest suppliers on the West Coast. Dozens of chefs from across the Central Coast will go head-to-head for the ‘Best Oyster of the Central Coast” Chef Award, and the audience will be invited to taste their sumptuous efforts.

Smallpools a Los Angeles’ foursome indie pop band formed in 2013 will headline this year’s Central Coast Oyster & Music Festival. The hottest new band on the rise with their debut single “Dreaming’ shot to #1 of Hype Machine within its first 3 days and currently climbing the alternative radio charts. Signed to RCA Record Label, the debut EP was released the beginning of summer as the Passion Pit-esque sound has been taking the West Coast by storm as the band went on tour with Two Door Cinema Club followed by Walk The Moon and then onto Twenty One Pilots. Smallpools is making a huge Splash, a performance you will not want to miss!
Diego’s Umbrella are San Francisco’s Ambassadors of Gypsy Rock. Internationally known and revered, their lively stage show, great songs, antics and humor have garnered them a cult following around the world. With a mix of Eastern European tradition, pop sensibility and punk rock energy, they have had crowds going wild for years. “Where Gogol Bordello meets Muse. These underground heroes will soon be international superstars.” –AP Press
He’s My Brother She’s My Sister invite a broad range of colorful words to describe their sound: “flamboyant folk,” “psych-acoustic,” “desert pop”, “estranged and glamorous”. No doubt this is due to their mélange of musical styles, both modern and antique; their eccentric attire and sense of expression, both sincere and theatrical; and, their unique instrumentation, which includes a rhythm section bolstered by a tap dancing drummer.
Brother and sister Robert Kolar and Rachel Kolar split vocal duties, with Robert on guitar and Rachel on tambourine. Their voices range from boisterous to introspective, from breezy to emotive. Lauren Brown adds full-body percussion with her fluid tap-dance and simultaneous drumming. Oliver Newell plays stand up bass with joyous flair. Aaron Robinson is on lap slide, veering from nuanced psychedelia to American roots riffs.
Vokab Kompany are two MC/singers from San Diego, California. Their new album, VKCE, a collaboration effort with up and coming production/musician duo Crush Effect, has been critically acclaimed and filled a void at the intersection of the hip-hop and EDM worlds. ‘VKCE’ is Hip-hop, it’s electronic, it’s indie – it’s a shout out to the past, and a taste of the future. Vokab Kompany’s Matt Burke describes the experience: “As musicians, it’s an ever evolving world; genres are a thing of the past, so we (VK) were really lucky to have teamed up with producers that pushed the boundaries of our boxes. We got outside our comfort zone, stamped a VK next to CE, and the result was something new entirely.”
TROPO has been making a splash in the Electronica scene in California in the past year playing festivals such Rise Big Sur, Lucidity, Lunacy, Indigo Vortex, Movementplay, Central Coast Oyster Festival and Hoopcamp. With layers of beats, soaring violin and vocal melodies, spectral pads, and crunchy bass oscillations, TROPO compels their audience to dig deep within themselves for a reciprocal and energetic journey. Electronic dance music is having a huge impact on music lovers worldwide and TROPO is taking things to the next level by infusing the human element in their all original, uplifting, and completely live performance.
Forrest Day “Idiosyncratic. Original. Novel. Call it whatever you like, but let this be known: Bay Area musician Forrest Day is easily one of the most captivating individuals the cultural-rich locale has ever produced. Yes, ever. Throw him in the mix with RHCP, Sublime, Jane’s Addiction and Green Day, this genre-bending wizard is something else altogether.” –AbsolutePunk.net
