unveils exclusive new treatment: L’Art du Toucher by Clarins

The quintessence of Clarins Skincare for the most comprehensive and regenerating, three-step, experience

(November 2013) – Art is a permanent guest at Le Royal Monceau, Raffles Paris with an Art Concierge on site, a gallery and an art bookshop and hundreds of pieces of art hung throughout its public spaces and guestrooms. This autumn, the hotel’s beautiful Spa My Blend by Clarins celebrates a different kind of art with a specially-created total face and body treatment: L’Art du Toucher (The Art of Touch) – a brand new Clarins Signature Treatment, exclusive to the hotel.

L’Art du Toucher brings together the very essence of Clarins Skincare for the most comprehensive and regenerating of experiences – a stunning three-step treatment for face and body. Under a choreography of listening hands and wrapped in the aromas of invigorating fragrances, this is a re-energizing and relaxing experience that relieves men and women from the fatigue and tensions of city life.

The science of touch is at the very heart of Clarins’ history and the innovative treatments that have built the company’s reputation. Over the years, Clarins has developed massage procedures that are increasingly relevant and more tailored than ever. An art has been born of this alliance of absolute expertise and the delicate sensitivity of those who put it into practice: L’Art du Toucher.

For the Clarins Beauty Coach, each body is a new territory. She explores its contours with her fingertips or a press of her palm. Through imperceptible tremors and subtle areas of resistance, she deduces its key strengths and weaknesses. Her hand soothes comforts and calms. Her thumbs linger over a spot and unknot tension. Her palm, forearms and elbows reawaken reviving energy flows at the heart of the body.

L’Art du Toucher has three steps, dedicated to three energetic touch techniquesto relax, revitalize and regenerate, from head to toe:

Step 1: balancing touch

This step creates a sense of trust before relaxation and total calm take hold. The hands are reassuringly placed on the key areas of the face and body, which soothes and creates a feeling of serenity. The heartbeat slows down, energies are balanced and tissues oxygenated.

Step 2: stimulating touch

Here, the aim is to encourage energy to flow freely through the body. Inspired by the rhythmical movements of shen shiatsu, the Beauty Coach progressively applies pressure all along the energy lines with her palms and thumbs. The energies are channeled to the center of the body and then harmoniously distributed to the extremities.

Step 3: enveloping touch

Devoted to the entire body and face, this step is the intense and stunning conclusion of the treatment, using an exclusive selection of Clarins products. The face is drained, hydrated and sculpted. The Beauty Coach uses thumbs, palms, forearms and elbows on the body to recuperate and release deep energies. The intensity of the pressure on the back, legs and stomach is adjusted with millimetre accuracy. Areas of tension are relieved. The body gradually melts into absolute well-being. It is totally calm.
