We received our mail-in ballots this week and they will be in the outgoing mail tomorrow. Voting by mail is by far the best way to vote if your state permits it. We have been doing so in Arizona for many, many years. It’s the only way to vote in some states.

This year’s election is much more important that any we have ever experienced because the current president and his feckless party stalwarts have clearly brought us to the brink of economic and social destruction. And it gets worse by the day. We haven’t seen this level of racism in the White House since Wilson. He and his minions rail against “left-wingers,” but it is the lunatic right wing which has broken more laws and made us less safe. The current situation in Michigan is, we fear, only the tip of the iceberg. The idea that gun-toting demonstrators could storm the Michigan Capitol is bad enough, but to learn now that some of them plotted and conspired to kidnap the governor is bone-chilling. And the president called them “…very good people.”

The president’s recent illness and the cluster of cases he may well have engendered are extremely troubling and warrant earnest contemplation and, dare we say it, prayer.  A good slogan might be:

Pray for Donald. Vote for Joe.

The list of wrongs which can be attributed to this administration grows with every day, whether it’s tax windfalls for millionaires, separation of children from their families, denial of scientific evidence of climate change, rollbacks of environmental protections, malfeasance in international affairs or utter recklessness and ball dropping in the coronavirus pandemic, there appears to be no end. It will only get worse. This administration’s supporters want to blame Democrats for the current disorder and health panic, but it isn’t the Democrats who have been in charge of the White House for almost four years.

To paraphrase someone from 2016,  “What do you have to lose?’

Vote for Joe.

After discussing all of the above issues together, we wanted to share.
