Have you seen “The Legend of Mick Dodge?”
Icy InnThanks to Dave McDearmid for sharing this photo he took last winter.  A rare view of snow on the water.

Greetings –

It has been such a beautiful fall – and now we are seeing bright sunshine on shimmery mornings.  One of my favorite things is to see an entirely new view with the leaves off of the trees – and discover what is beneath the lush vegetation of the earlier seasons.

And, Thanksgiving.  THE holiday with no expectations – simply time to be with those you love and enjoy the bounty of the earth.  Our holiday at the Inn is very special – with a capacity crowd booked for our “intentional leftover” dinner.

There is still room to celebrate with us, though, on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.  So, give us a call if you’d like to do so. (360-437-7412)

We also have a few “cruises” scheduled – one with Puget Sound Express on December 16th – leaving from Port Ludlow and going to the Seattle Christmas Ship Parade – thru Lake Union Ship Canal and the Golden Gardens.  Seattle Christmas Ship Parade

And if you need some “activity” for those holiday guests, consider booking a date to see Cinderella at Key City Public Theatre – another chance to be on the water!  Cinderella at Key City

May you have many reasons to be grateful during this holiday season – and may you find joy in the meaning of the holiday.

P.S.  The winner from last month’s photo contest was Doug Sherman of Snohomish.  He’ll be enjoying a meal at The Fireside soon.
Here’s your chance to win this month – the first one to respond with WHAT this building is and WHERE it is wins an overnight stay at the Inn.

November is Men’s Health Month

Seriously now – why is it that guys tend to ignore their own health and we (women) must “nag” them to get check-ups? Well, here’s the chance to nag – just do it, guys. We NEED you to be healthy. And if you want to grow a beard/mustache to urge your fellow guy-pals, then that’s just dandy.
Cheers to good health and check-ups for all!

Best Holiday Dinner Wines for Any Budget

Anne Sackett, our Cellar Master, provided a recent interview that we thought you might enjoy reading.  Timely advise for the holidays – if you cannot be with us at least you can get some timely tips!  This story was picked up by The Huffington Post – pretty impressive, huh? Thanks, Anne!
