Treatment Features Meditation Bath, Aromatherapy Massage & More Relaxation Techniques
To Reach a Zen State of Mind for Better Night’s Sleep
Riviera Maya, Mexico (December 1, 2017) – To help those travelers that struggle with sleep problems, such as insomnia, sleep apnea or even jet lag after a long flight, Se Spa at the AAA Five Diamond Grand Velas Riviera Maya has introduced a new Aroma Zen Bath Meditation. Promoting healthy sleep by reaching a Zen state of mind, the 110-minute treatment combines a float meditation and Neuro Aromatherapy Massage. For the massage, guests can choose from one of two essential oils. The De-Stress Mind Oil smells of Frankincense to eliminate anxiety, Petitgrain for a gentle calming effect and restorative Rosemary, while the Deep Relax Oil smells of uplifting Vetiver, soothing Chamomile and comforting Sandalwood. The entire experience is complemented by music, chromotherapy, and breathing techniques. To finish off this relaxing experience, guests enjoy a calming Linden Flower and Chamomile tea with a twist of lemon. The Aroma Zen Bath Meditation costs $368.
Additional treatment highlights at Se Spa include the Bacal Massage, using one of the Mayan’s most sacred plants – corn; Aloe Vera Massage, featuring the Mayan’s “immortality plant” named for its great regenerating life powers; and Úumbal Shawl Massage, a full-body treatment with creative choreography dating back to prehistoric times. Each treatment at Se Spa (of 50 minutes or more) includes an hour-long Water Journey, a relaxation ritual built around the use of the seven, specially designed water-based facilities. These custom-designed amenities include a Clay Room, circular glass-tile-lined steam room with a fiber-optic “star light” ceiling, Ice Room with floor-to-ceiling window, and hot-and-cold Experience Showers. A central infinity pool has powerful massaging faucets throughout and carved-stone chaises with jets set just underneath the surface of the water on which guests recline. A spa valet provides bottled water and towels but most importantly guidance.
