The Legacy Agency, Inc. To Launch “Baseball City” March 15-16 At Phoenix Convention Center
Baseball City will redefine the current trade show and fan fest for the baseball industry and enthusiast. TLA expects Baseball City to follow in the tradition of Comic Con and the PGA Merchandise Show by providing a fully packaged and immersive experience in both b-to-b and b-to-c. By tapping into the 1.7 million and growing Cactus League Spring Training tickets sold each year to fans from 15 different markets across the country, Baseball City provides brands with the opportunity to target and reach a highly loyal, affluent and widespread demographic. Brands will now have the opportunity to target baseball fans from multiple markets en masse in one local venue. Fans, for their part, will be provided with a best in class baseball trade show coupled with the latest interactive consumer technology platforms available.
“Arizona in March has come to occupy an increasingly important slice of the American sports world, and we are very pleased to announce this first-ever event which will capture the imagination of fans heading to Cactus League events, as well as companies looking to expose their brands to a wide and very diverse audience, “ said Legacy Agency CEO Mike Principe. “Baseball City will become the destination both for anyone in the industry looking to engage in the space, and for thousands of consumers seeking even more interaction with their favorite sport, legends and athletes. From young people to seasoned baseball veterans, there will be something for everyone.”
“Baseball City’s debut at the Phoenix Convention Center makes downtown Phoenix an even better launch pad for fans who plan to visit Cactus League stadiums across the metro area,” said Scott Dunn, senior director of marketing and communications at Visit Phoenix. “From all indications, this event will hold great appeal for deep-level baseball fans who appreciate the nuance and science of the game. It’s going to be a real crowd-pleaser in the heart of the city, where there are 3,000 hotel rooms and a wealth of pedestrian-friendly dining and entertainment options.”
The two-day event will be a complete interactive experience for the fan, which include pitching and hitting clinics, strategy sessions and autograph opportunities with a host of current and former professional baseball players. There will also be a massive exhibit space with vendors showcasing the latest technology and advances in traditional equipment, training tools and apparel, as well as a first-ever immersive virtual baseball experience where fans can take part in a digital baseball environment like never before. The exhibits and demonstrations will all be in addition to panel discussions, press events and other custom experiences designed to make this the ultimate stop for the baseball enthusiast or industry participant – not just those heading to the Cactus League.
Ticket prices, special advance events, partners and more information on Baseball City will be available in the coming weeks.
