André Heller: “Afrika! Afrika!”
September 30 – October 4
André Heller is one of the most successful international multi-media artists. He and his team of choreographers, costume designers, light artists and masterful performers have created a powerful and ecstatic stage version of “Afrika! Afrika!” It unites the artistic highlights of “Africa! 1” and “Africa! 2” with eccentric and breathtaking new attractions, which originated over the past two years in the most diverse places on this magical continent. The Festspielhaus in Baden-Baden will host the world premiere of this unique version. The legendary circus extravaganza from the wondrous continent finally returns to Europe.
A Culinary Exhibit at the Kurhhaus
October 4-6
This will be the 9th year that the culinary exhibit “fine” will take place in the center of Baden-Baden. It will be held in the elegant rooms of the Kurhaus where 100 handpicked regional, national and international exhibitors present themselves on the topic of food, drinks and lifestyle. Besides the culinary and wine presentations, fashion, jewelry, accessories, interior home design, as well as gift ideas will all be part of the exhibit. Once again the making of products of masterful craftsmanship will be at the Bel-Etage in the Kurhaus.
International Horse Race
“Sales & Racing Festival”

October 18-20
This will be the last and final race of this year’s season. Look for the fast horses, fashionable women and, of course, their notable hats at this Sales & Racing Festival. Excitement and anxiousness can be felt all the way to the finish line. But in the end it’s all worth it, as the presentation of the “Prize of the Winter Queen“ and the fall auction are the ideal completion of the race season.
GRAEFIN MARIZA –
“Countess Mariza”

Operetta by Emmerich Kálmán with
the Budapest Operetta Theatre
October 18-20
When it comes to the Budapest Operetta Theatre, they are simply the best! They sing, dance and act at such a high performance level that is difficult to surpass by any theatre anywhere in the world. Only the Budapest Operetta Theatre can perform the Hungarian Operetta with such freshness and authenticity. And no one can escape the magic of Kálmán’s unforgettable melodies.
Anne-Sophie Mutter – Fantasies and Sonatas for Violin
October 31
Anne-Sophie Mutter will present Claude Debussy’s famous Violin Sonata. At times, the composer’s final work sounds like a French chanson, at other times like a Chinese “Glockenspiel.” Debussy’s methods of bringing opposites together is not new to the great violinist either, who presents American, Austrian, Norwegian and French music in her program.
