SEATTLE FOOD TOURS ANNOUNCES “CAPITOL HILL SOCIAL” CULINARY EXCURSIONS

LOCALS AND TOURISTS SHARE HUNGER FOR EXPLORATION OF SEATTLE’S DINING GEMS

August 12, 2013 (Seattle, WA) Seattle Food Tours is excited to announce its newest progressive dining experience, Capitol Hill Social, focusing on Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood. Following the popular format of the long running Belltown Restaurant Tour, the Seattle Food Tours’ Capitol Hill Social features five curated restaurants highlightingCapitol Hill’s Pike/Pine corridor for small groups of 2-12 people. Capitol Hill Social offers locals and visitors alike a chance to explore Seattle’s hottest restaurant scene with the help of a local expert leading the way, sharing their insight on the cultural history of the neighborhood, background on the featured restaurants and choreographing a 5-course progressive dinner where guests enjoy a different course in a different restaurant.  The Capitol Hill Social features 4 time James Beard nominee, Chef Ethan Stowell’s Bar Cotto, and fellow James Beard nominee Jason Stratton’s Artusi, the beautifully crafted Momiji, certified gelato master Marco’s namesake D’Ambrosio and tucked away in the historic Oddfellows Hall, The Tin Table. Capitol Hill Social is currently operating Thursday through Sunday, with tours starting at 4:30pm and taking guests from appetizer to dessert in just 2.5 hours. Tickets cost $69.00 pp + tax with food and wine included. Reservations may be made at the Seattle Food Tours www.seattlefoodtours.com.

Capitol Hill Social is more roaming dinner party then food tour, relying on the oldest social networking platform “the dinner table” to provide a forum for guests to connect, share and learn about Seattle’s fantastic food scene. When asked what differentiates his tours from others in the city, owner Michael Rogers responds “The quality of our restaurant partners is number one; we strive to work with only the best of the best. Each potential partner is vetted and carefully selected based on a number of different criteria with culinary excellence being at the top of the list.  We also keep our groups small and intimate which insures that our guests feel like they’re out with friends and not just tourists on tour.”
