Celebrity Chef Michael Voltaggio Heats Up at

Universal Appliance and Kitchen Center

Los Angeles, Calif. – On September 7, join Chef Michael Voltaggio as he displays his dazzling culinary expertise and signs copies of his latest book at Universal Appliance and Kitchen Center in Studio City.

Universal Appliance and Kitchen Center, a luxury appliance and plumbing company with two locations in the San Fernando Valley, will host a day of delectable delights, demos and giveaways, while highlighting some of their top brands and innovative designs. Universal will have factory representatives on hand introducing new products, hundreds of appliances and accessories, and unbeatable prices, all at their 10,500 square-foot showroom in Studio City.

“We’re looking forward to our upcoming Universal Discoveries event with Michael Voltaggio,” states Igor Royz, President of Universal Appliance and Kitchen Center. “It will be exciting to see a chef of his caliber in action in our state-of-the-art showroom, and learn a few cooking techniques of our own.”

Guests will also experience chefs from, Viking, Thermador and Jenn-Air preparing dishes to impress the palate, as well as reps from Miele providing dessert and coffee. To add to the excitement there will be an hourly raffle, door prizes, and sale prices on appliances and plumbing fixtures with no-interest financing for 12 months!

Chef Michael Voltaggio has been cooking since the age of 15, and although he did not attend a formal culinary school, he earned a highly-coveted position in the prestigious Greenbrier Culinary Apprenticeship program. With his unconventional techniques, classical repertoire, and adventurous style, Voltaggio has earned great success and recognition. He was most recently honored as one of Food & Wine magazine’s “Best New Chefs,” and ink. – his Los Angeles flagship restaurant – was named “Best New Restaurant in America” by GQ. But Voltaggio might be best remembered as the winner of Top Chef (season 6) on Bravo’s Emmy award-winning television show.
