YOUNG MINDS

The James New York recently hosted a childrens´ cooking class along with Common Threads, a nonprofit promoting better nutrition for kids. The James is proud to be the national hotel partner of Common Threads. Chef David Burke prepared an interactive menu of protein and vegetables for the class, imparting “Kids want to be treated like adults and get involved. The more they get into the food the more they respect the product.” Support the cause by booking the Peace, Love, Room Servicepackage and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Common Threads.

CHICAGO: RESERVATIONS, BACON, AND LIBATIONS

Along with the Primehouse Bar and Burke´s Dining Room is the impending debut of two new venues at The James Chicago. Burke’s Bacon Bar is a bacon-based shop offering sandwiches of the palm-sized ilk dubbed “Handwiches”. Popular cocktail lounge JIMMY is also coming to The James Chicago after its success in New York. MIAMI: THE WEATHER´S PERFECT, LET´S SIT OUTSIDE

The James Royal Palm just launched its Florida Cookery Patio, described by The New York Times as “Florida cuisine in a laid-back atmosphere.” Its menu mixes the culinary styles of the American South, the Caribbean and South America. Celebrate mango season on the patio with a list of specialty cocktails created by the retreat´s in-house mixologist. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
