Portland, Maine — The Events Team at Maine and Maine Home+Design magazines announced today that on June 6, Cellardoor Winery will transform a 10,000 square foot tent on the river in Kennebunkport into a smoldering Flamenco inspired scene of food, wine, music and dance for Pop the Kennebunks. This evening of sultry revelries will officially, and passionately, kick the 2013 Kennebunkport Festival into high gear.
“Each year we set out to create memorable experiences for our guests that are more than just celebrations—we want to transport them, give them a few hours of fun where they can forget the day-to-day grind and simply enjoy their time with the people around them,” said Bettina Doulton of Cellardoor Winery. “With this year’s Flamenco theme, we’ll do our best to, once again, deliver on that promise, ” she added.
“Pop the Kennebunks is where people come to dance, eat, drink and laugh—a gala event and the festival’s biggest party,” said Elizabeth Mitchell Hunt, Director of Events and Sponsorships at Maine and Maine Home+Design magazines, the producers of the Festival. “Bettina brings her signature ebullience to every event delivering an over-the-top experience where it is impossible not to have a blast. This year, she’s taking us to a nightclub on the Mediterranean Sea in Andalusia relocated for one night only to Kennebunkport, Maine. Don’t miss it.” she added.
In addition to incredible food, wine, and spirits guests will be treated to:
- · Dancers from Philadelphia’s Art In Motion under direction of World Champion Dancer Darlin Garcia
- · Dancing into the night to the music of The Sultans
Tickets for Pop the Kennebunks are $100 per person and available online at kennebunkportfestival.com. The Festival producers strongly suggest advance purchase of tickets because the 2012 Pop the Kennebunks was a sell out.
