Thornton Winery invites members of the press to be a part of  the Thornton  Experience.  Private media tours, lunch with the owners and wine tasting with the winemakers are just a few of the options available for credentialed writers.  Keep a eye out our 25th annual Champagne Jazz Series press party invitation. Executive Chef Steve Pickell will demonstrate some basic techniques for preparing fabulous

flatbread pizza that your guests will devour!

 The following take-home recipes will allow you to recreate these delightful foods in your own kitchen.

Allow us to provide you with some delicious recipes for your feasting festivities.

Cafe Champagne chefs will prepare different Pizza’s.  Paired with Thornton’s award

winning Cabernet Sauvignon, you’ll appreciate the different variations in our wonderful pizzas, and why they go so well with our  Cabernet Sauvignon. You’ll learn why our wine making practices and techniques make this Cabernet Sauvignon so amazing,

Our  chefs will also discuss additional wine and food pairing guidelines.

Sensory Analysis of wine:

 ” Why you taste, what you taste:” You’ll learn how to improve your tasting ability. You’ll learn how to see, smell and taste wine in a whole new way. Learn to sniff a wine and savor it’s aromas you are in fact sampling from the “invisible soup ” of substances that float around in the headspace of your wine glass! The more you know about wine the more you’ll enjoy it! Come and join us for this fun and exciting wine class.
