District American Kitchen & WIne Bar LAUNCHES DOWNTOWN FAVORITES FOR FALL
Featuring starters to share, nothing over nine at noon, hearty entrées, vintage sodas, and sweets!
PHOENIX – (Oct. 4, 2012) – With the fall season upon us, the chefs at District American Kitchen & Wine Bar are warming up the kitchen with foodie favorites. The restaurant’s new autumnal menu features a selection of all-American comfort foods served with flavorful ingredients that will surely tantalize your taste buds. Innovative culinary creations showcase artisan products, herbs from the restaurant’s rooftop garden, and sustainably farmed items from local growers.
“As the season changes and our weather cools, we yearn for comfort foods that warm the heart and soul,” said Chef de Cuisine Jay Bogsinske, District American Kitchen & Wine Bar. “This fall, we’re incorporating new twists on your favorite dishes and infusing the creations with flavorful, seasonal herbs from our rooftop garden. We feature all-natural and quality products, use artisan breads, and showcase only the best by collaborating with local producers and partners such as Schreiner’s and Singh Farms.”
Starters to Share. Begin your dining experience at District American Kitchen & Wine Bar with two new starters perfect to share: Black Bean Tostadas with guacamole, pico de gallo and cotija cheese, or Shrimp Salad Lettuce Cups with fennel pollen, hydro butter leaf lettuce and toy box tomatoes.
Looking for the frequenters’ favorites? The menu still features the restaurant’s infamous Singh Farms Honey Wings served with pickled jalapeno and cilantro lime salt, as well as the Schreiner’s Bacon Wrapped Dates, a savory starter of five dates stuffed with rich, sweet chive cream cheese and drizzled on top with Vermont maple syrup. Both of these favorite and tempting appetizers are only $8 – sure to lure you back again and again!
Nothing Over Nine at Noon. District American Kitchen & Wine Bar offers a wide selection of sophisticated yet accessible regional fare. The lunch menu features high-quality offerings and seasonal favorites where nothing on the menu is more than $9! Two new lunch items include: Crispy Shrimp Tacos served with coconut brown rice, pico de gallo, guacamole, and chili lime mayo, and a Grilled Mac & Cheese Sandwich with white American cheese, Schreiner’s beer hot sausage, Cheez-It® crumbles, and served on a grilled MJ Pullman loaf – this dish is a blend of two American comfort foods! Along with other favorites, the restaurant will still serve its signature 3rd Street Market Saladwith mixed greens, Marcona almonds, roasted beets and warm goat cheese croquette and topped with grapefruit vinaigrette.

Hearty Entrées. What’s for dinner? In addition to a full menu of signature American dinner entrées, two new hearty and mouth-watering dishes created by Bogsinske, will tempt you and your palate. Vegetarian not required, but a new tofu dish leaves anyone pleasantly satisfied! A Fennel Crusted Tofu Steak is served with seasonal succotash and creamed corn, and really brings out the best of fall’s flavors. This entrée is paired well with a Magnolia Grove Chardonnay.
Another new dinner entrée is a specialty to the fall menu. The new Pan-Seared Scallops is decadently served with a green chili cornbread, Spanish chorizo and sweet onion crema. This divine dish is only $23 and pairs nicely with ZD Chardonnay.
Vintage Sodas. There’s nothing quite like a vintage soda from the restaurant’s soda shop to quench your thirst. District American Kitchen & Wine Bar serves a variety of 12-ounce bottles of vintage sodas that feature only cane sugar – all labels reminiscent of the 1925-1935s.
Sweets. Why choose just one? A few new desserts grace the sweets list, including a sinfully scrumptious Butterscotch Pudding served with crispy shortbread and bananas foster, and a delicate Cheesecake Berry Brûlée topped with seasonal, fresh berries.
The new fall menu will be available for a limited time. Complimentary three-hour parking validation is available with an entrée. For restaurant reservations, call (602) 817-5400 or visit www.districtrestaurant.com.
