Brussels Beer Chalenge

Brussels Beer Challenge: Belgium puts its title of world champion beer!

From November 2 to 4, under Brusselicious, defend Belgium, in Brussels, the title of leader and confront other “big” countries in the sphere brewing, including American brewers. On their side, the challengers not underestimate also try their luck!

 

The Brussels Beer Challenge is:

–           An international competition that has emerged under the leadership of Brusselicious in the year 2012 in Brussels gastronomy.

–           50 international professional tasters picked (journalists, writers, …) will meet at the Radisson Blu the time of tasting.

–           15 participating countries including Germany, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, United States, Estonia, France, Greece, Italy, Japan, Monaco, the Netherlands Netherlands, the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom.

–           Belgium will be represented by no less than 60 breweries and 50 for the country of Uncle Sat

–           Or 500 samples in total for 2 mornings and tasted divided into 8 types (Pale-Ale, Dark Ale, Red Ale, Lager, Stout / Porter, Wheat, Flavoured beer, Speciality beer) and divided into 50 sub-categories: Lambic abbey beers, beers chocolate …

–           Of gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded to winners of each category at the end of these two days of tasting. Belgium does retain its aura?

 

One thing is certain, the award-winning beers benefit from media coverage and international recognition. Honors received will be a powerful marketing tool and provide new development opportunities for brewers who took the gamble to expose their products to discerning palates of the jury.

 

Program up to the event!

A 3-day program built around beer tastings including morning and visits to breweries iconic afternoon. A “Masterclass” will be organized in the aftermath of the event at the Radisson Blu Brussels Sunday, November 4th (3rd day) for amateurs and professionals thus highlighting the didactic and educational event.

 

Theme: “Cross Influences Between Belgian and American brewers”
