SHERATON PHOENIX DOWNTOWN AND DISTRICT AMERICAN KITCHEN & WINE BAR SUPPORT BREAST CANCER AWARENESS DURING MONTH OF OCTOBER
Sipping on ONEHOPE wine or a specialty cocktail can serve a good cause.
PHOENIX – (Sept. 28, 2012) – During the month of October, Sheraton Phoenix Downtown Hotel and District American Kitchen & Wine Bar will support breast cancer awareness by offering California Chardonnay and a creatively crafted cocktail, Goodness Gracious, at a special price.
Hand-crafted by winemaker Rob Mondavi Jr., California Chardonnay displays classic varietal notes of crisp pear, apple and lemon, with a silky finish. Each glass is $8 and each bottle is $30.
California Chardonnay will be available in the hotel’s Park Lounge and in its restaurant, District American Kitchen & Wine Bar, to raise awareness for the fight against breast cancer. Half of the proceeds from California Chardonnay purchased in October will benefit breast cancer awareness and research.
On Sundays, District American Kitchen & Wine Bar offers all bottles of wine for half price – including California Chardonnay.
Breast cancer is the third most common cause of cancer deaths in the U.S. after lung and colon cancer – and for women, the most common type of cancer diagnosis. In fact, every eight cases of wine sold funds a mammogram to a woman in need. To date, more than $750,000 has been donated.
To show additional support, District American Kitchen & Wine Bar will offer Goodness Gracious, a specialty cocktail created in honor of breast cancer awareness. This sweet cocktail will be available for $10 in the restaurant during the month of October.
