Arizona Biltmore Hosting Wine & Spirits Festival Labor Day Weekend

WHAT:   Wine and spirits lovers will revel in the exciting festival over Labor Day Weekend at the Arizona Biltmore (www.arizonabiltmore.com) in partnership withThe Tasting Panel Magazine, The San Francisco International Wine Competition and The San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
 
The Arizona Biltmore Wine & Spirits Festival is four days of exciting beverage and culinary activities including a Grand Tasting with guest chefs, Double Gold winning wines and spirits, live broadcast of the Blue Lifestyle radio show, cooking demonstrations, mixology and wine seminars, a Historical Dinner Tour of the Arizona Biltmore, Champagne Brunch, and more. The featured guest chefs will be:  Brendan Collins, Executive Chef, Waterloo & City, the top-rated British gastropub in Culver City, California; and Shannon Swindle, Pastry Chef, Craft, the Los Angeles restaurant of award-winning chef Tom Colicchio. The featured mixologist will be Adian Demarest, the cocktail innovator extraordinaire and owner of Neat, in Glendale, California, as well as a judge for The San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
The Arizona Biltmore’s festival partners are leaders and trend-setters of the wine and spirits industry. The Tasting Panel Magazine is among the most widely circulated trade publications in the beverage industry. The San Francisco International Wine Competition is the largest, most influential international wine competition in America. The San Francisco World Spirits Competition is the first comprehensive, international spirits judging ever held in the United States on an annual basis.
A selection of wines and spirits that won Double Gold at the two 2012 San Francisco competitions will be featured at the events of the Arizona Biltmore Wine & Spirits Festival.

FESTIVAL SCHEDULE: 
Friday, August 31
Meet the Chefs Reception, 6:00 – 8:00 pm:  A casual cocktail and wine reception, featuring Double Gold winners, where guests can meet and mingle with the chefs participating in the festival and a guest mixologist will prepare special cocktails.  $25 per person.
 
Saturday, September 1
Live Broadcast of BLUE LIFESTYLE (Aztec Room), 10:00 am – 12:00 pm: Host Anthony Dias Blue will interview chefs, hotel management, local restaurateurs, etc.  No ticket need to come listen to this show that is heard in 32 markets nationwide as well as on Sirius XM Radio.
 
Cooking Demonstration and Lunch with Guest Chef from McArthur Kitchen in Los Angeles, 10:30 am- 1:30 pm:  Includes a multi-course luncheon with premier wine pairings selected from the Double Gold winning wines.  $50 per person.
 
Spirits Seminar Hosted by the Arizona Biltmore Festival Mixologist (Aztec Room), 3:00 – 4:30 pm:  The educational seminar features tasting of Double Gold winning spirits and Aidan Demarest creating specialty cocktails. $20 per person
 
Grand Tasting (Grand Ballroom), 5:00 – 7:00 pm:  At this “don’t miss” event of the weekend, guest chefs and Phoenix culinary talent will treat guests to the ultimate tasting experience of Double Gold winning wines and spirits. Includes food stations and 50 wines and spirits.  $45 per person.
 
Sunday, September 2
Dessert Cooking Demonstration and Lunch with Guest Chef from McArthur Kitchen in Los Angeles, 10:30 am- 1:30 pm: Features pairing of desserts with Double Gold winning wines and spirits.  $50 per person.
 
Wine Seminar Hosted by Anthony Dias Blue (AZTEC ROOM), 2:00- 3:30 pm:  The educational seminar features the Double Gold winning wines. $20 per person
 
Arizona Biltmore Historical Dinner Tour, 7:30 – 10:30 pm:  Each course will be served in a different historic location around the resort and paired with Double Gold winning wines and spirits. Learn about the 83-year architectural and celebrity history of the resort while you sip and savor the best of the best!  $100 per person. (Not included in the festival ticket and must be purchased separately; limited to 40 guests.)
 
Monday, September 3
Lavish Champagne Brunch (Wright’s Restaurant), 10:00 am – 2:00 pm:  Prepared by local and visiting chefs, Brunch will include Double Gold winning Champagnes. $50 per person.
