Titlis Cliff Walk

TITLIS CLIFF WALK

3041 metres above sea-level. 500 metres off the ground. 150 heart- pounding steps. This is what awaits guests on the TITLIS Cliff Walk, the spectacular suspension bridge high up on the summit. To cross the bridge, you’ll need nerves as strong as the steel cables from which it hangs. The TITLIS Cliff Walk holds the record for being the highest suspension bridge in Europe.

The TITLIS Cliff Walk connects existing infrastructures as part of a new circular route: TITLIS mountain station – south wall viewing platform – suspension bridge – glacier chair lift – glacier trail – TITLIS mountain station. The TITLIS Cliff Walk is yet another experience not to be missed on a trip to TITLIS and makes a great addition to the existing attractions, which include the glacier park, snowtubing, glacier trail, glacier cave, photo studio, watch shop and numerous restaurants. The TITLIS Cliff Walk allows visitors to experience the height, vastness and majesty of the mountains from the most impressive of platforms and take home some unforgettable memories.

The TITLIS Cliff Walk was officially opened on 7 December 2012. President of the municipal council of Gadmen, Barbara Kehrli, and mayor of Engelberg, Martin Odermatt, cut the ribbon, and Father Patrick from Engelberg blessed the bridge.

Around 100 guests, including ambassadors from Germany, Liechtenstein, Norway, Lithuania, Austria, Bulgaria, Spain, Denmark, Columbia, Poland, Mexico, Slovakia, the Netherlands and Portugal attended the opening ceremony.

The TITLIS Cliff Walk is now open to guests. For the time being, visitors can walk across the bridge from the Ice Flyer chair lift station and back again. As soon as the snow and weather conditions allow, guests will be able to take the full tour via the south wall viewing platform. The bridge may be closed on certain days due to snow and bad weather. This information will be published on the titlis.ch website. The TITLIS Cliff Walk is free of charge for our guests.
