FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Wine Enthusiast Awards Top Scores to Parrish Family Vineyard Wines
Four current releases—the 2012 & 2013 Silken Reserve Red, and the 2012 & 2013
Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon—all earned scores above 90 points.

Sept. 15, 2016 (Paso Robles, Calif.) – Parrish Family Vineyard (parrishvineyards.com) is proud to announce four of its current releases have earned scores of 91-points or above in the September 2016 issue of Wine Enthusiast Magazine. The glowing tasting reviews and scores are also available on winemag.com.

The 2012 Silken Reserve Red, a gorgeous blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Sirah, was awarded 93 points; the 2013 Silken Reserve Red and the 2012 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon both were awarded 92 points; and the 2013 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon was awarded 91 points.

These top scores further prove winegrower-turned winemaker David Parrish is making world-class wines using predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, and that Bordeaux grapes are the future of Paso Robles and are helping solidify the AVA as elite wine region.

The well-deserved scores come at an exciting time for Parrish Family Vineyard. The current 2016 Harvest marks the first year the family-owned winery is crafting wine exclusively from its own vineyards, making it Paso Robles’ next true estate winery.

“Since our first vintage in 2004, we have one simple goal: Make each vintage better than the last,” says Winemaker David Parrish, whose family has lived in Paso Robles since 1925, and who earned his winegrowing and winemaking chops working alongside Robert Mondavi, helping him plant some of his marquee vineyards Napa Valley. “These scores won’t change our mission, and becoming a 100-percent estate-grown winery will help us continue to meet that goal of getting better each vintage.”
