Carr Golf Announces Winners of World Invitational Father & Daughter Tournament

Ninth-Annual Event Held on County Kerry’s Acclaimed Waterville Golf Links

(DUBLIN, Ireland) – Carr Golf  – Ireland and Scotland’s premier provider of unforgettable golf vacations – announces Steve and Kaitlyn Lee won the ninth-annual World Invitational Father & Daughter Tournament held July 24 – 27 on classic Waterville Golf Links in County Kerry.

Carr Golf hosted 32 teams hailing from the U.S., Canada and Ireland at Waterville, widely known as one of the world’s finest seaside courses. The first-class event included three rounds of golf, deluxe nightly accommodations, reception, full Irish breakfasts each morning, tournament photo, shuttle transportation throughout and a BBQ prize ceremony.

Playing out of New York’s Westchester County Club, the Lee duo won the 36-hole event with a record breaking six-under-par gross total. The victory comes on the heels of their recent first-place finish in the Winged Foot Father & Daughter Tournament in Mamaroneck, N.Y.

Bill McGuiness and his daughter Mary from Pine Valley Country Club (N.J.) / Tavistock Country Club (Fla.) were second in the gross division with Michael and Stephanie Sullivan from Garden City Country Club (N.Y.) finishing third. James and Mary Layden from Bel Air Golf Club in Los Angeles won the net category. Ray and Jenna Perdue from Illinois’ Crystal Tree Golf Club were second and Canada’s Rocky and Hannah Downton finished in third place.

“This special tournament has become one of the wonderful highlights on our annual events calendar,” says Marty Carr, executive chairman of Carr Golf. “The joy and camaraderie of fathers and their daughters playing the game they love together on one of the world’s greatest courses is a treasure to behold.”
