HALL Napa Valley has announced its lineup of specialty tour and tasting experiences that center around Cabernet Sauvignon. HALL’s two winery locations in St. Helena and Rutherford, aim to educate, engage and inspire guests to learn about and appreciate Cabernet Sauvignon in unique and diverse ways.

HALL has earned a staggering two hundred plus 90+ point scores rated by the industries top wine critics such as The Wine Advocate, Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast, cementing their place as a leading luxury Cabernet Sauvignon producer. HALL is uniquely suited to offer insight into Napa Valley terroir as it relates to vineyard operations, harvest techniques, production, technology, sustainability, as well as offer various perspectives into the classic grape varietal by way of these experiences.

Bay Area locals, jetsetters, and wine loving tourists are invited to find the perfect Cabernet experience, based on their interest and degree of knowledge. Guests have the opportunity to select one for each day of the week, as they see fit.

•       Gallery 401 Tasting – Daily, 10am-5:30pm, $40pp
HALL’s daily tasting is offered anytime during business hours and includes a flight of five wines that are in current release. Guests are invited to enjoy tastings at the modern bar or choose to sit outside on the adjoining second floor patio overlooking the Mayacamas Mountains and Bergfeld Estate vineyard.

•       On-Site Bottle Service – Daily, 10am-5:30pm
Guests are invited to purchase HALL or WALT wines available and enjoy at any outdoor space on the property. Two Go Vinos wine glasses are included with the purchase of each bottle.

•       Wine Tasting 101 – Daily, 10am-5:30pm, $40pp
This tasting experience allows guests to learn how to read wine labels and teaches novice wine consumers how to swirl, smell, taste and describe wine. This is designed as an educational experience that includes glassware recommendations and decanting techniques.

•       HALLmark Tour – Daily, By Appointment, $40pp
Guests explore the breathtaking St. Helena property as they are guided on a walking tour while exploring the convergence of wine and art during an immersive experience for up to 14 guests. This tour includes a walk-through the historic Bergfeld Building, built in 1885, a stroll through the culinary gardens and vineyards, and a brief tour of the high tech production facility. Conclude the tour with a sit down tasting in a private Salon that including a flight of current releases. This is HALL’s signature tour and tasting.

•       Ultimate Cabernet experience  – Daily at 11am & 2pm, $125pp
This exclusive experience is perfect for the serious wine collector and Cabernet Sauvignon lover. Set in the historic Founder’s Cellar, the tasting includes a generous flight of HALL’s most highly rated and allocated Cabernets with perspective into Napa Valley appellations. Ultimate Cabernet is the premiere Cabernet tasting experience at HALL St. Helena.

•       Wine & Art Exploration – Sundays at 11am, $40pp
Guests who have a love of Cabernet and modern art will appreciate this tour and tasting experience. As lifelong art enthusiasts, Craig and Kathryn Hall have showcased their favorite pieces at the winery. Guests are guided through a walking art tour that details their private contemporary art collection on display throughout the property. The most notable works include the 35 foot ‘Bunny Foo Foo’ leaping out of the vineyards and other pieces by John Baldessari, Jaume Plensa, and Jim Campbell, and more.

•       Cabernet Cabana – Seasonal, May – October, FridaySunday, $35 Minimum Spend
Experience Cabernet bottle service on HALL’s Great Lawn with breathtaking views of the Mayacamas Mountains. Guests are invited to enjoy Napa at its finest in this prime location, as they are treated like VIPs in a dedicated area with a private wine educator.

•       Sunset Cruise – Seasonal, offered May through October, Thursdays & Fridays, $50pp
Guests are invited to unwind and enjoy the outdoor Adirondack chairs as they are treated to Artisan Cabernets such as Jack’s Masterpiece and Ellie’s Cabernet. This experience is designed to take place as the sun is setting in the Valley. It is the perfect pre-dinner activity to enjoy before heading to one of Napa Valley’s renowned restaurants. The Sunset Cruise includes an artisan cheese board accompaniment to enjoy with perfectly paired Cabernets.

•       A Taste of HALL Culinary Workshop – One Sunday per Month, $125pp
This popular food and wine pairing workshop is designed to engage and inspire guests about seasonal food and wine pairings while channeling one’s inner chef. Guests are offered an unparalleled experience that combines HALL’s passion for quality winemaking, paired with seasonal culinary arts. A Taste of HALL is sponsored by Riedel Glassware with guests receiving a custom Taste of HALL Bordeaux glass as a take away. The program is offered one Sunday per month from 12:00-2:00pm.

Each harvest, HALL hosts a release party for its flagship wine, Kathryn Hall Cabernet Sauvignon. Bringing together winemakers, wine-lovers, fans, and foodies alike, guests are invited to enjoy a sun-filled afternoon to sip on the newly released 2013 Kathryn Hall Cabernet Sauvignon. This event includes backyard BBQ, live country music and hay rides while guests get to celebrate this top rated Cabernet. This year, every guest will receive a complimentary copy of “A Perfect Score,” Craig and Kathryn Hall’s new book about the art, soul and business of a 21st Century winery.

Known as the best food and wine pairing challenge in Napa Valley, Bay Area chef teams compete by creating small bites that pair with HALL’s Napa Valley Cabernet. With an all-star line-up of celebrity judges and 750 wine and food lovers on the property, this event allows everyone to win as all proceeds from ticket sales benefit local charities.

•       Appellation Exploration Tour & Tasting – Daily, 11am & 2pm, $125pp
Known as one of the most romantic wineries in Napa Valley, HALL Rutherford offers a spectacular tour and tasting, Appellation Exploration experience. With two tours each day and limited space, guests gain experience the underground ‘Chilean Red’ Chandelier decorated with Swarovski crystals as they taste through a line-up of wines on available through the winery. Taste through single vineyard wines as HALL sources wine from 13 of 16 Napa Valley appellations. HALL Rutherford is set on the prized Sacrashe Estate Vineyard located in the hills of the Rutherford Appellation. This experience is 90 minutes and by appointment only.

•       HALL Rutherford’s Custom Wedding Proposal Package – Starts at $500 & Up
Guests have the opportunity to book a private, intimate experiences at HALL Rutherford. Custom package options include private access to the Chandelier Cave, tastings of library wines, vineyard walks, custom etched large format bottles to commemorate the occasion and anniversaries. Guests will also have first access to HALL’s newly launched Celebrations & Weddings offering, a unique wine program that includes special pricing as well as custom etching on large format bottles for anniversaries, wedding, and more.
