Escape the winter gloom

Retreat to the cocooning comforts of The Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa – the perfect Cape Town winter refuge!

Dear Friends of The Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa,This year is racing past and it has been an exciting few months, with highlights including the appointment of Gavin Ferreira as our new Deputy General Manager. He first started as a chef at our sister property in the UK, Summer Lodge, before moving back to South Africa and joining The Twelve Apostles Hotel in 2008. His invaluable experience as Food & Beverage Manager – a position he will continue to fulfil, is a great asset to the team.Recently we had the privilege of welcoming Executive Chef Gerard Coughlin from The Chesterfield Palm Beach, our sister property in Florida, as part of our Guest Chef series . We had a great partner in Delta Airlines, who flew him out to South Africa and offered two business class tickets to any destination in the US as a prize to one lucky guest. The winner was Ivan Moodley, who attended Chef Coughlin’s Durban dinner at The Oyster Box. Consolation prizes were won by Lynette Strom, who will enjoy Tea by the Sea for two people at The Twelve Apostles, and Steven Widegger, who won an overnight stay at Bushmans Kloof.

Staying with the food theme, I’m excited to announce that our Executive Chef Christo Pretorius will once again be part of the charity gala ‘Chefs who share – the ART of giving’.

It’s also my pleasure to share the news that The Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa was voted ‘South Africa’s Leading Spa Resort’ in the 2015 World Travel Awards – a big thank you for each of your votes.

On the business front, now is the time when corporates track their mid-year performance, re-evaluate their successes, and start planning the second half of the year. There is simply no better place for a conference than The Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa. With a number of conferencing options available, along with a great location at the foot of the Table Mountain Nature Reserve, offering 360 degree views, here creative strategies have no boundaries!

Don’t forget that we offer some exceptional value promotions during the winter months, with must-do experiences and leisure packages to entertain family and friends. Visit our website to view all our offers.

I look forward to welcoming you all to The Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa in the very near future.

With warmest regards,Michael Nel
General Manager
