Iconic Arizona Landmark Revamps Culinary Scene

PHOENIX (April 6, 2015)  Red¹s Bar & Grill at The Wigwam, an iconic Arizona landmark and AAA Four-Diamond resort, unveils a new look following an extensive renovation of its interior and exterior structures at The Wigwam. New features include an expansive openness with indoor/outdoor seating, new menus, 14 TV¹s and 12 different craft beers on tap, making it the perfect destination to catch up with friends in an inviting atmosphere as well as watch a sports game. The restaurant transformation focuses on approachable American cuisine, with classic favorites paired with handcrafted cocktails and craft beer.

³As we celebrate our 85th anniversary, we¹re excited about Red¹s refresh and the new look it brings to The Wigwam,² states George McGann, vice president managing director of The Wigwam. ³The new space elevates the dining experience for locals and visitors, and provides a gathering spot to create memories over excellent food and drinks.²

The most notable enhancements to Red¹s Bar & Grill include new décor and furniture throughout the space, creating a relaxed and comfortable environment. Retractable doors enhance the openness of the space and create a sense of arrival with stunning views of the golf courses. The contemporary design incorporates a modern feel while still maintaining The Wigwam¹s historic charm. Design elements include a communal table, fire tables, as well as outdoor and indoor lighting, which creates a warm and family-friendly environment. In addition, Red¹s introduced new staff uniforms which add to the casual, western vibe with plaid shirts and casual pants.

Red¹s Bar & Grill is thrilled to present the new menus crafted by Executive Chef Richard Hinojosa for breakfast, lunch and dinner highlighting chef¹s choice of ingredients. Standout dishes on Red¹s new menus include:

  • RedWings Dry Brined Chicken Wings with House-made Hot Sauce, Celery, Carrots and Ranch
  • The Jessie Burger, named after a long-standing employee of 44 years – Lettuce, Tomato, Bacon, Cheddar Cheese, Red¹s Sauce
  • The Colangelo Chicago Dog, paying homage to the roots of owner, Jerry Colangelo – All Beef Dog, Poppy Seed Bun, Sport Pepper, Onion, Mustard, Tomato, Neon Relish, Celery Salt
  • Open Face Monte Cristo Canadian Ham, Slow Roasted Turkey, Melted Gouda, Battered Texas Toast, Lingonberry Jelly, Powdered Sugar

Red¹s refreshments provide a unique, local take on classic cocktails, wines and craft beers, including local favorites such as Four Peaks Kilt Lifter, Nimbus Oatmeal Stout and SanTan Devil¹s Ale. Signature cocktails include Red¹s Grand Sangria, Prickly Pear Margarita as well as Red¹s famous Ultimate Bloody Mary Cart available every weekend.
