Farewell, 2014 Season
“Gentle breath of yours my sails
Must fill, or else my project fails,
Which was to please.” –The Tempest, Act V, EpilogueThe curtain fell last weekend on a spectacular season of Shakespeare, classics, musicals and new works—a season made all the more glorious by the added bonuses of our new state-of-the-art production building in Talent and our first commission to open on Broadway (and win a Tony Award!). We owe a huge debt of gratitude to you, our audience members, for buoying our performers—and all of us here at OSF—through these many months and for demonstrating such strong support at the box office and through your enthusiastic word of mouth. What stood out for you on our stages in 2014? What do you most eagerly anticipate in 2015? Please share your thoughts, photos, memories and hopes with us—and keep an eye on what’s happening here on the Bricks in the off-season—via FacebookTwitterInstagram and Pinterest.

Change is Coming to The Bricks
Our project design team has come up with a couple of exciting potential ideas for our beloved but hard-used brick courtyard, and wants to know what you think. Join us for our second Bricks Renovation Public Meetingon November 17 at 7:00 p.m. in Carpenter Hall. There will be drawings to view and respond to, and the team will gather more comments to inform their work to select a preferred alternative and then develop schematic designs. The final concept will be made public early this winter, and we expect to break ground on the project about a year from now.

The season of giving will soon be upon us, and we hope you will add some OSF gift certificates to your friends’ and family members’ stockings. OSF gift certificates are available in any denomination, and can be used for play tickets, memberships, backstage tour, concerts, prefaces, play readings or lectures. And they never, ever expire.
