The Oregon Truffle Festival
is pleased to announce the inaugural
North American Truffle Dog Championship
January 21 & 22, 2015
– The Joriad™ Qualifying Events, January 21 –
The event kicks off at the Oregon Horse Center in Eugene, Oregon.
Spectators are welcome in a large indoor venue to cheer-on the teams
as they race to search for hidden truffle-scented targets.
Finalists from Day 1 events will advance.
– The Joriad™ Field Trial, January 22 –
Authentic head-to-head and nose-to-ground action in the wild where nature alone determines where, what kinds, and how many truffles are hidden.
Truffle hunting in the field does not lend itself to spectator participation. Therefore, the final results will be announced at The Joriad™ Awards Gala and Dinner, to be held on the afternoon and evening of January 22nd in Turner, Oregon at Willamette Valley Vineyards’ Grand Tasting Room with its panoramic view of Oregon’s wine and truffle country.
Ticket holders will “meet and greet” the finalists, and watch the declaration of North America’s first winner of The Joriad™ while enjoying delicious small plates featuring black and white truffles paired with WVV wines.
