We were “yarn bombed” by our “knitters” – this time with miniature “bombs” including socks for the baseball players in this historic photo.

Happenings at
The Resort at Port Ludlow

Greetings from Port Ludlow –

So – I watched a really interesting movie the other night – HAPPY – and it made me think….WHY are people so HAPPY when they come to Port Ludlow? Is it because they plan on being HAPPY?  Because they are in a new place(sense of adventure) or because they are on vacation (doesn’t that make us all HAPPY?)  Or is it because they feel Welcomed and see a HAPPYteam caring for them?  What do you think?  If you haven’t seen this film, I highly recommend it…

and – Yea – spring is HERE – longer days and robins everywhere.  The golf leagues are back at it and the Saturday market in Port Townsend is open. (yes, way more produce than just kale!)  All of THAT makes me HAPPY!

We had an amazing Easter Brunch this week – and it is less than three weeks to Mother’s Day…so if you are planning on joining us, please call for reservations. Mother’s Day at The Fireside.

Chef Dan is at it again – he is taking his craft to Niblick’s Cafe at the Port Ludlow Golf Club and creating a new fresh menu for golfers…as well as those that like to watch the golfers.  If you haven’t visited lately, stop by soon.

We are VERY excited about the last weekend of June – TWO events for our “foodies.”

First, on Friday, June 27th we will host the first of our four part Farm Dinner Series with Spring Rain Farm. These evenings will be centered around both the farmers themselves and the fresh, organic ingredients they work to cultivate.  Tickets to this event and our other three summer Farm Dinners can be purchased online on Brown Paper Tickets.

Then, on Sunday, June 29th, we will feature a father/son event as Mike Januik of Novelty Hill will be back with us…this time with his son Andrew.

Andrew’s talents as a winemaker and his label, Andrew Januik Wines, will be the highlight of the evening.  Mike and Andrew will share their stories of winemaking as we dine on Olympic Peninsula cuisine.  Reserve your seat today by purchasing your tickets online.

This foodie weekend is an ideal way to set the tone for the summer…which “officially” starts in July.  If you’d like to stop by sooner, consider our Easy Peasy Package.  It is good now through July 2nd – we want to make it “easy” for you to make time for a getaway before the “high season” kicks in.  Book your package now.
