Grand Canyon, AZ– The shutdown is over and all visitor services are available to explore and enjoy the Grand Canyon South Rim. The town of Tusayan, located at the gateway to the South Rim, and area businesses have pledged to contribute over $400,000 to insure that the Park will remain open.

Tusayan Mayor Greg Bryan says “Our community is thrilled to have the National Park fully open and operational. Tourism is the lifeblood of our community. Our business owners and employees are committed to making the visitor experience enjoyable and memorable 365 days a year. October is one of the most majestic months at the South Rim and there is no better time than now to see the canyon – hike, explore, ride a bike, take an airtour, a jeep tour, a horseback ride through the National Forest, and return to Tusayan to enjoy great food, super hotels, and entertainment.”

Many Tusayan businesses are offering Grand Reopening Specials as a way to say thanks and, come again!  Find South Rim businesses online at www.grandcanyoncvb.org
