The Boston Marathon explosions of last week occurred right outside of the Lenox, one of of our fellow Stash Partner Hotels.  In fact, the hotel literally stands between the spots where the bombs were detonated.  The tragic events of Marathon Monday have shaken the entire nation.  The Lenox Hotel was forced to close down for a week.  They have now re-opened though bookings are down and cancellations are up.  The hotel will feel the effects of the tragedy for some time.

For eight days, the hotel was unable to welcome guests, but that didn’t stop The Lenox from executing its world-class service.  The Lenox team stepped up, volunteering to feed and host investigators around the clock with the same service they extend to their paying guests.  The Lenox has been an example of grace, humility and an unwavering commitment to hospitality.

Watching everything unfold on TV and the internet, we kept wishing there was something we could do at the time to help.  Today, there IS something we can do.  We can focus on the vibrant and resilient city that Boston truly is.

If travel to the East Coast is in your future, we hope you consider visiting Boston.  Catch a game at Fenway, walk in the past of great patriots on the Freedom Trail, stroll the waterfront, indulge in some shopping and let the team at The Lenox impress you with their world-class hospitality.

We’re reaching out to our supporters, our wonderful guests, asking you to extend your support to our friends at The Lenox and the fine city of Boston.  Please consider paying them a visit this year.

If visiting Boston isn’t in the cards for you, you can still show your support by donating to The One Fund or leaving The Lenox a message on their Facebook page.

Stay Boston Strong,

Debbie
