The first four editions of International Georg Philipp Teleman Violin Competition in the 2000-2003 took place as a all-Poland events. Since 2004 it is international competition. It is organized by Association of Georg Philipp Telemann Violin Competition and Jarmołowicz Artistic Agency, and co-organizer Poznan Generally Music School Ist deg. of Henryk Wieniawski, Poznan Generally Music School II deg. of Mieczysław Karłowicz and Poznan Filharmony of Tadeusz Szeligowski.

The beginning of May (30th April – 8th May 2013) has a celebratory spirit during Košice Day. On this day, the city of Košice commemorates being awarded the first European town coat of arms by Emperor Louis the Great on 7 May 1369.
