TIME FOR PAMPER PARTIES
WITH DESIGN HOTELS™

Berlin, Februray 07, 2013 –  The holidays are over, yet the cold of winter still lingers. All the hustle and bustle may have worn you out, but Design Hotels™ has compiled a list of six members whose goal is to sooth, calm and invigorate…

Starting in the far North, Copperhill Mountain Lodge is a cozy retreat, built using rustic, natural materials, with panoramic views of the surrounding mountains in Nordic Sweden. Perched on a quiet hill by the French Mediterranean stands a temple of well-being called La Réserve Ramatuelle. Its sister property, La Réserve Genève Hotel & Spa, is a perfect haven of natural tranquility, located in a magnificent park on the shores of Switzerland’s Lake Geneva. In the heart of Germany’s capital, The Mandala Hotel is about purist luxury and indulgence. Set amid rolling vineyards in Austria’s most popular wine regions, LOISIUM Wine & Spa Resort Langenlois and LOISIUM Wine & Spa Resort Südsteiermark, attract guests with a mild climate and idyllic landscapes. www.designhotels.com/unique_spa_experiences

In Sweden’s premiere alpine destination of Åre rests Copperhill Mountain Lodge. Acclaimed architect Peter Bohlin’s design exudes an intimate, familiar ambiance. The hotel’s award-winning spa is inspired by the local Sami heritage and a respect for nature. Mountain juniper has lent its scent to the massage oil. Traditional Sami dwellings, kåtor, have inspired some of the treatment rooms, where guests can enjoy treatments using natural plant and floral extracts, traditional wellness techniques to the sound of a joik (the region’s folk music) and the finest cosmetics. The spa’s relaxation area offers panoramic views of Mount Åreskutan. Two chambres separées, featuring saunas, hot baths, showers and lounges, have recently been added as well. If guests feel like they need a bit more action in their wellness routine, the hotel offers an array of complimentary activities, ranging from snowshoeing to qi gong and yoga.

Austria’s wine-growing regions continue to impress even the most fine-tuned palate, and the LOISIUM Wine & Spa Resorts bring the best of Lower Austria and Southern Styria’s wine and spa treatments at LOISIUM Wine & Spa Resort Langenlois and LOISIUM Wine & Spa Resort Südsteiermark. Guests can sample intriguing local treatments involving grape and wine products in the spa. The hotels use Aveda beauty products, which incorporate plant and flower essences, many of which are organic. In both Langenlois and Südsteiermark, guests can enjoy Finnish and soft saunas, amethyst steam baths, a vineyard lawn with sun lounges and a year-round heated outdoor pool. The therapies range from classic massages and facials, to ones using algae, pepper and caffeine extract. What is better than pristine views over the rolling hills of Austria’s vineyards and a glass of Riesling to go along, all after a day of being pampered and spoiled?
