New Year’s Eve Dinner
Journey into an Arizona desert-inspired New Year’s Eve experience accented with Arizona wine pairings while listening to live jazz music throughout the night at District American Kitchen and Wine Bar. The delectable dinner creations showcase artisan ingredients, herbs from the restaurant’s rooftop garden, and sustainably harvested produce from local growers. Savor desert-influenced American foods served with an innovative twist that will evoke inspiration for years to come.
Amuse: Schreiner’s bacon wrapped Arizona dates filled with Black Mesa Ranch goat cheese and drizzled with organic agave nectar infused with purple sage from the restaurant’s rooftop garden.
First course: Poured tableside, an indigenous squash soup with butter-poached desert sweet shrimp from Gila Bend and griddled heirloom zucchini quick bread finished with toasted pepitas and burnt mesquite marshmallow.
Second course: The “High Desert Duo” includes a saddle of rabbit and Singh Farms young carrot stew with rosemary honey coupled with smoked prairie quail with creamed corn, grilled nopales and garlic chives from the restaurant’s rooftop garden.
Intermezzo: Arizona sparkling wine and Arcadia citrus tarragon sherbet.
Main course: An Arizona trio includes: Arizona grass-fed beef short rib with a chili that pays homage to the late Senator Barry Goldwater’s chili mix and a cilantro lime salt; chipotle pulled pork tamale with Hayden Flour Mill cornmeal, Arizona pistachios and charred tomatillo salsa; and finally chuck wagon gin-infused venison with high country Mogollon Pignon brittle and huckleberries.
Dessert: A sweet surprise from the restaurant’s Pastry Chef Winnona Herr. All you need to know is it’s “Out with the Old, In with the New”!
